By accessing and using the STEM Lantern Registration Portal ("the Portal") at https://stemlantern.com, you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.
STEM Lantern provides educational programs including robotics and coding classes, Advanced Math Lab (STEM Lantern), holiday camps, and Flexible Math & Coding Plans (MathCode Mastery, MathCode Fusion, and Explorer Track). Our Portal allows parents and guardians to:
To use certain features of the Portal, you must create an account. You agree to:
You must verify your email address before accessing your account. We will send a verification code to your email address. You are responsible for keeping your email address current and accessible.
When you register a child for a program:
All payments are processed securely through Stripe. By making a payment, you agree to:
All prices are listed in Canadian dollars (CAD). Unless a price is expressly marked as tax-inclusive, displayed programme prices are before applicable taxes. Applicable GST (5%) and Saskatchewan PST (6%) are itemized before you accept checkout, and the final amount payable includes the disclosed taxes. Any legally applicable exemption or different required treatment must be confirmed through the authorized pricing process. The accepted programme agreement and completed Order Summary govern the actual charge. Tax breakdowns are included in payment confirmations.
You may cancel your enrollment up to 72 hours before the program start date for a full refund (excluding registration fees for Flexible Math & Coding Plans). To cancel, email us at office@stemlantern.com. Refunds require admin authorization and are not processed automatically.
Flexible Math & Coding Plans can be cancelled at any time after the start date with 30 days' notice via email. Future payments beyond the notice period will be stopped. No refunds are provided for classes already paid for.
Classes (such as Robotics & Coding Program) require a minimum 3-month (12-week) commitment. Once a class has started (after the 72-hour window), cancellations are not permitted. Students must complete all payments for the full commitment period.
Registration fees for Flexible Math & Coding Plans are non-refundable, even if cancellation occurs within the 72-hour window. Only program fees (monthly payments) are eligible for refund within the cancellation window.
STEM Lantern reserves the right to cancel, combine, or reschedule camp weeks due to insufficient enrollment, instructor availability, facility issues, or other circumstances beyond our control.
If a camp week does not meet the minimum enrollment required to operate, affected families will be offered the option to transfer their registration to another available camp week or receive a full refund of camp fees paid for the affected week.
Every reasonable effort will be made to notify families as soon as possible of any changes to camp schedules.
By registering your child, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to our Parent/Guardian Consent & Waiver Form, which includes:
The waiver is a legally binding agreement. You must acknowledge all sections before completing registration.
The Photos & videos at STEM Lantern choice is presented on the same page as the waiver. You can choose Yes or No before checkout. Choosing No withholds consent for photos or videos showing the faces of the learners in your registration when used for marketing or promotional purposes or in publicly shared educational materials. STEM Lantern may still use photos or videos for these purposes if those faces are fully blurred, obscured or cropped out, or if the learners are cropped out. Your choice will not affect participation in STEM Lantern activities. You can change your preference by emailing office@stemlantern.com.
Advanced Math Lab uses STEM Lantern to record diagnostics, practice, mastery, and retention checks. These terms apply if your child is in Advanced Math Lab now, or is later moved into that program. Instructors may use third-party AI tools to explain skill recommendations, support lesson planning, and prepare progress notes. Those tools receive a de-identified learning summary, not names or contact details. Our ranking engine proposes skills; an instructor accepts, modifies, or rejects them before they become the teaching plan. We do not use children's information to train public AI models. See our Privacy Policy.
Some programs may have restrictions based on age, grade, or gender. These restrictions are displayed during registration. You agree that your child meets all program requirements before registering. If your child does not meet program restrictions, enrollment may be cancelled and a refund issued (subject to our refund policy).
Programs have limited capacity (maximum 10 students per class). If a time slot is full, you may join our waitlist. When a spot becomes available, you will be notified via email and given 24 hours to complete registration. We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule programs if minimum enrollment requirements are not met.
